I might be wrong but to me, this year team is even more talented and better then last year team and deeper. If they can get good pitching all year then watch out, this team will make a deep run. They have true freshman and rs freshman on the bench that would start for 80% or higher of other teams. scary talented!!

I don't think they are more talented, but I do think starting pitching may be better

I'm also not sure if they are more talented, but from a pure power perspective, through 16 games, they are currently 8 full HRs ahead of their 2024 pace in which they fell 4 shy of tying the seemingly unbreakable all-time record of 188 set by LSU back in 1997. Tennessee has 49 already in 2025.

They also comfortably lead the SEC in runs, runs/gm, walks, HRs, batting avg., OB%, Slugging%, and OPS despite run-ruling 8 of their 16 opponents.

A lot of that will level out as the competition ramps up, but the same can be said of the entire SEC and Tennessee appears to have the bats to outpace the rest of the conference if the non-conference is any indicator. Additionally, they aren't doing it with a ton of overly experienced super senior grown men. They started 4 freshmen, today, and all four had big days. The depth of lineup options is unreal.
