2025 D Line

How’s the defensive line coming into 2025 looking? Do we have the same depth as last year and do we anticipate similar if not better dominance?

Realizing the entire defense is more then the only the dline, will the dline be the force it was to improve our overall defense?

Since beginning of this year I’ve had my head down in work so have not been able to keep up with roster moves and news as I usually do. Thanks VN!!!!!

I'm not an expert, but I don't think the D line is expected to be as good or as deep as last year, but it should still be above average I believe...and could be better than expected.

Two deep will be good. Hobbs, Eason, West, Josephs, Moi, Wallace, Ross and Bailey will rotate alot. Interested to see Campbell and Dye. They were big time recruits.

Garner needs to develop depth at DT. He usually rotated 6 guys in 2024 at the 2 DT spots, and has 3 guys established now: Bryson Eason, Jaxson Moi, and Daevin Hobbs.

Big opportunities for Jamal Wallace, maybe Nathan Robinson, and Isaiah Campbell to make a move at DT this Spring. Dom Bailey and/or Tyre West might move to DT, at least on obvious passing downs.

SDE and Edge ability and depth look really good at this point. At SDE, Bailey & West are back, along with Tyree Weathersby. Edge looks nasty with Joshua Josephs, Jordan Ross, and Caleb Herring.

Possibly some of these young guys will make a move, and get in the rotation by this Fall: Emmanuel Okoye, Christian Gass, Kellen Lindstrom, Carson Gentle, Mariyon Dye, Ethan Utley, Jayden Loftin, and Charles House.

I think it’ll still be a solid unit and probably the strongest on the defense again next season. Bryson Eason, Dominic Bailey and Joshua Josephs bring experience and leadership. Tyre West and Daevin Hobbs have played a lot of football too and will be key rotational guys and I wouldn’t be surprised if they started at some point. Jordan Ross and Caleb Herring should get more snaps and they’re both athletic freaks that could fill the role vacated by JPJr. I think it’ll be another good season for the DL in 2025.

We got enough tape of holding our D line to fill up the SEC office. Pearce alone got held nearly every 3rd or 4th rush all year long.
