Who’s Your SEC Tourney Darkhorse?

Kentucky has a lot of depth. When you play back to back games helps a ton to have depth. That's why i think the Vols will not win the SEC Tourney. I rather see them get rest for the big dance.

No way I take Kentucky. They haven't been able to string more than 2 wins in a row together all conference season.

Your depth point is relevant, tho.
I hate the idea of playing 3 days ( more possibly for some teams) in a row right before the NCAAT. IMO, it isn't smart because guys are more likely to get injured, and at the very least they will be drained for the following week's NCAAT.

If they insist on these tournaments to be played like this, they should take every game into account ( in terms of seeding ) unlike they have done in the past.

Y'all gonna kill me for this, but for all the teams 9-16, there is only one that has a snowball's chance in hell of making the semifinal and that would be Vandy.

And there's like, what, a 1% or less than 1% chance of that. But, if the sun and moon aligned just right, they "could" beat A&M and Tennessee.

The way it's bracketed, the teams in question ain't beating Kentucky and Alabama, Missouri and Florida, Ole Miss and Auburn.

Keep in mind the question was the lower seeded team most likely to make noise, not necessarily win the whole thing. Like a 9-16 who could sneak up and make the SEC Final Four or better.

Ole Miss is the 8 Seed, I was suggesting sticking to the 9-16 Seeds just because I feel any of the top 8 are potentially too good to be a Darkhorse.👍
I was just going off many of our fans reactions losing to them. You would have thought it was the most embarrassing loss in the last 5 years, so them winning the SECT would qualify as darkhorse

Sadly, I’d agree with you.
