I thought that was OCI (Old College Inn). The Lap was just up from Yosemite Sam's. There was a bar connected to The Lap, maybe The Library?

you may be right...it was 50+ years and a LOT of drinks ago...but I DID help an upright of the goal post be across the top of the bar...

The beer joint next to OCI was the Tap Room. AKA The Tap Dump. I worked there for a few months in 1980, drank there much longer…

Yes, originally called the University Club I believe and changed to the Library.

I had an ‘emergency’ credit card with the bill going to my parents. I would buy rounds at the Library for friends with it and when my Mom asked why I had charges at the Library I would say overdue books.

I helped carry part of a goalpost to the OCI after ‘85 Auburn. They gave us free drinks.

I spent many a weekend night at The Lap and The Library in the early 90's and fondly remember the pizza a Mr Papa's. There were also many pastami sandwiches from Gus's that were consumed (not to mention fried mushrooms).

I used to work at Sam & Andy's in the 90's. I've steamed more sandwiches than I can count on one of those steamers.

My phone number in Hess Hall one year was one digit off from Gus’s number. I received a lot of late night phone calls from folks trying to place an order. I even took a few orders
