Tennessee vs. Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen. Are you nervous?

Kentucky has been playing out of their minds lately.
They’re 5-2 since the first of March and their only “quality” wins are today and two 1-pt wins over Oklahoma. They’re a tough matchup for anyone because they can shoot the ball so well, but there’s no reason why Tennessee can’t/shouldn’t win.

Big time nervous…..

For Kentucky fans. Just imagine all that history and titles your basketball program has while being a laughing matter in all other sports and then losing to your main sec rival in the sweet 16 in the first ever ncaa tournament game against them. Would be devastating to their fragile ego.

Yep…….we get the Boogie Man, our bitter rival. We are 0-2 and a chance they could end our season. It’s almost unthinkable. Nervous would be an understatement for all vol fans. Our coaches and players better be prepared and play with a chip on our shoulder. Oh yeah, they will have 18000 fans there to cheer them on. It will be a home game for them. Man, Illinois crapped the bed. Oh well, we get our shot at redemption and we better take advantage of it. So, to answer your question I think most Vol fans will be as nervous as a long tailed cat in room full of rocking chairs. Please basketball gods, let the good guys win this game! In Barnes we trust and Go Vols!

NCAA masterminds have two teams 2.5 hrs away from each other that play twice a year traveling all way to west coast to play again

I think they are relaxed….they sure looked it today. A brand new coach, and every player is new to Kentucky. No one expected them to even make the tournament. They are playing with house money.

To my recollection, KY shot an insane field goal and 3 point % in prior two outings...not the wide open shots, but highly contested shots. I just think it's going to be hard for them to duplicate it w/ our D...if they do, it is what it is. If we get a good day from Lanier, Gainey and ZZ, we should be in it. There will be no surprises, and it should be a grind it out game. Truly hope we win, but the great thing about where Barnes has UT BB, is that this will be THE premier game of the round of 16 from a brand name perspective...there's Houston/Purdue, but Purdue's off this year from their norm of past few years.

I’m nervous simply because I can’t stomach the thought of losing to UK three times in a season where we are supposed to be the better team and they put us out of the NCAA tournament.

For whatever reason, they play their best against us. I hope we come with a good game plan.
