Freshman tight end DaSaahn Brame was back in practice after missing some days before the break due to illness. LEO Caleb Herring was not in uniform and had a sleeve on his right knee as he worked inside with the rest of the limited players. Freshman linebackers Jaedon Harmon and Jadon Perlotte have shed the slings on their shoulders.
Daevin Hobbs obviously is out for the spring, but Mariyon Dye is still working on the side. Jamal Wallace also isn’t back in drills, and neither is Nathan Robinson has a cast on his right hand/wrist and a sleeve on his right knee.
Also not practicing: Linebacker Arion Carter, cornerback Jermod McCoy (who was riding the stationary bike), safeties Christian Charles and Jourdan Thomas, freshmen Jayden Loftin and Christian Gass, LEO Emmanuel Okoye and offensive lineman Jeremias Heard.
Wide receiver Amari Jefferson and tight end Cole Harrison were in yellow jerseys, perhaps an upgrade on their red non-contact jerseys.
-p.brownLance Heard, Bennett Warren and Trevor Duncan worked at left tackle with Larry Johnson III, David Sanders Jr. and Brian Grant worked at right tackle with Glen Elarbee working them through drills. The Vols had a center working with a left guard and a center working with a left guard separately. William Satterwhite, Max Anderson and Nic Moore took the reps at center, Shamurad Umarov and Wendell Moe Jr. were at left guard and Jesse Perry, Sam Pendleton and Gage Ginther were the right guards.
Jerry Glanville and Phillip Fulmer were at practice this morning. Tennessee returns to the practice field Thursday morning. Four-star 2026 corner Zyan Gibson was also taking in practice this morning.
Jermod McCoy, Jaydin Loftin and Jourdan Thomas were off to the side riding a stationary bike. Freshman Christian Gass, Jeremias Heard, Jamal Wallace, Arion Carter, Emmanuel Okoye, Daevin Hobbs, Mariyon Dye, and Christian Charles were in a group that was doing some light stretching while the team was in individual work. Freshman linebackers Jaedon Harmon and Jadon Perlotte were not full-speed. Caleb Herring was not in pads this morning. Nathan Robinson is also still sidelined.
Wide receiver Amari Jefferson and tight end Cole Harrison were in yellow jerseys this morning.
William Inge was petty animated coaching some front line guys on the kickoff return drills.
William Satterwhite, Max Anderson and Nic Moore were working at center.
Outside on the practice field for routes on air, Nico Iamaleava appeared to throw the football well. He threw the ball with good velocity and was accurate on most of the out routes. Freshman George MacIntyre did not have the best day throwing the football. He was inaccurate and a little all over the place – missing high, short and wide on several throws throughout the period we were watching. Jake Merklinger was in the middle. Not bad but not as sharp as Iamaleava this morning throwing the football against air.
e.cainFreshman tight end DeSaahn Brame was limited some while running routes. They were starting his route down the field, seemingly to eliminate the explosiveness off the line as he continues to work himself back to full strength.
