I understand that College sports is a game for kids. But, it shouldn’t be run by kids.
18-24 year olds: Yes, I still consider them “kids”. I have two sons in that age bracket & based on my own experience, I knew a heck-uva lot more at age 30 than I did at age 21.
I know that, unfortunately, some players have been taken advantage of in the past.
But, that doesn’t mean that NIL should be the wild-wild west, where every player goes to the highest bidder.
I have actually been pretty happy with how Tennessee has handled NIL.
But, straight up greed is now in the process of destroying college sports.
When a fan-base can’t even be sure who is going to be on the team, it sucks the life right out of the game.
I wish that there was some way that some changes can be made.
But right now, we are at the mercy of a bunch of greedy kids (& more often than not: their parents!)
