I'm through with the Niko I'm leavin drama. I've read all the posts and seen the videos. I only have one conjectual question left. Do you think Niko had this scenario all planned out with a NIL agreement in his pocket or do you think he really thought Tennessee would come up with the money under pressure? Do you think he was genuinely surprised by Tennessee's obstinence or his team had this all figured out? Why would he go to a team meeting Thursday night and wait for the orange and white game to spring this on the team? Oh, well I am a Joe Milton fan and now a Merk fan!

I’ve seen a lot about how people are Joe Milton fans now. You all do you realize that unlimited transfers weren’t allowed until he was the starter again, right? In the offseason between 2021 and 2022, he couldn’t transfer without sitting out.

But in any case, I think Nico and them figured that Tennessee would just cave and in the off chance we didn’t, people would line up. They’re ignorant to his abilities.

I don't really know much about this NIL stuff and portal stuff. I just know that I've always liked Joe Milton with his 80 yard bombs and his loyalty to Hendon and the Team. I'm following him with the cowboys and I really believe He will be an NFL starter. I watched his cleanup game with the Patriots last year and he looked poised. A lot of these QB wannabees these days can't stand in Joe's shadow!

I doubt Nico was thinking at all. He’s not a leader. Id bet his dad wanted some cash and thought he could strong arm UT into getting them some more.

Dude misjudged his son’s abilities and UTs willingness to hang on to mid tier potential.

I’d have loved to seen how he was going to develop but instead his names going to be forgotten and misspelled, when remembered.

The Nico team misread the tea leaves and thought Tennessee would pay up and keep things quiet If you wanna play big boy games, you gotta live with the big boy results. Nico goes from being a respected VFL to a name no one will ever remember positively as a result of his family greed.

I think we will know when the transfer window opens and he lands somewhere. If it’s immediate and for $4M, then he likely had it all worked out and offered our collective a chance to match. If it takes time for him to find a place … and for less than he was asking for, then it will look like he left with no real plan. I’m hoping he ends up at Gulf Coast Community College.

It's been reported that he has talked to several schools and I'm sure they discussed some numbers, but talking numbers and putting numbers on a contract are 2 different things. Collectives are not stupid. They know there are limited options of schools with the need and money for a high dollar qb. They also know that if they get a staring qb in the portal, their primary competition (current school) is out of the way. They can then discuss more reasonable numbers. Nico and pappy are in for a tude awakening on the open market. Nico isn't as mobile as advertised and has not lived up to the hype as a pocket passer

I was told by a booster Nico or someone in his group contacted Oregon this past week and said he would enter the portal for them if they met his $ demands. The Oregon coach called Hype and reported it to him. Can't guarantee how factual this is but it was a booster who knows some things and there is a lot of previous contact rumors out there..

I think Nico was part of this. He already had pissed off the collective and people who donated. Autograph sessions and meet & greets….he just didn’t show up. I don’t live there in Knoxville but he was an entitled little B. I wish nothing but the worst for him until he grows up, gains some integrity, and gains a sense of responsibility.
