Sounds like he wasn’t the only player in the league that tried this.H
Hell, if this is true we shoulda cut him loose after the season ended.
He showed potential at times, but at no time did he look like a game changer on the field.
Also might be a reason the team looked so listless.
It’s not dying. It’s changing rapidly and the money that has ALWAYS been flowing is now out there for everyone to see. Remember Bama was paying HS coaches six figures in the 90s to steer players. Not just paying the players but HS coaches too…same crap different model.College football is dying right in front of us.
Interesting, I think his running showed he cared. He got beaten up and was laying it out there it seemed to me. That's one of the few games I wasn't mad at him. Maybe I've forgotten some things about the game, which I really wished to do.I'd say based on his play in the Ohio State game, he was going through the motions most of the game....
The “money” used to be a $20k car & $1000 a month. It’s now more money than they can make in a rookie NFL season. It’s not dying. It’s changing rapidly and the money that has ALWAYS been flowing is now out there for everyone to see. Remember Bama was paying HS coaches six figures in the 90s to steer players. Possible that Heupel thought it was his father and he could be extracted from that influence with adequate time. Idk what to think but a lot of the issues seemed to originate with Nic.If this is true, then I lose a lot of respect for Heupel for sticking with him. If this is true, then you can't be outraged when it ends like this. I wouldn't doubt it's true, observing the dad for 3 years. However, Nico showed more toughness in that game than I thought he was capable of, so I'm a little skeptical of this.
