Sounds like a very solid QB! And I'm guessing he's entering the portal with a goal of coming to Tennessee. He checks all the boxes! Two years of eligibility left.

He's entering because he was getting passed up at Notre Dame.

Just like Milton was at Michigan... I would take a Milton this year to replace Nico any day this year
So every quarterback that gets relegated to 2nd or 3rd string is Milton, or Hooker, etc?

Also, my point was that that was the reason he was in the portal, and that UT wasn't the reason.

Tennessee is going to be mentioned with every qb that enters the portal. He was first man out of a 3 man qb battle at nd. Not sure he checks "all the boxes".

Hendon was passed up too. So was Joe Burrow.
This is a slam dunk then.
For every Milton, Burrow, Hooker
there are 5 Harrison Bailey, Dormady, DJU, Riola, Radhada, Brock VandaGriff's.

I'm not saying even that he wouldn't or couldn't do well here, I'm just saying that I don't think he's getting in the portal because he's the guy at UT right now. I'm sure they're shooting higher.

Super small sample size so obviously can't take a ton from it, but still impressive to do against a really good defense in a high pressure moment:

Runs a two minute offense better than our prior QB.

People remember that run at the end of the game against Arkansas, but that was also a time wasting lethargic drive too.

Is Marcus Freeman's offense anything at all like Heupel's? I don't think it is.

He'd be starting from scratch, I think. Not every talented QB is a good fit.

Even Brady or Peyton wouldn't be good fits for Heupel despite understanding the offense very well. It's just not the style of offense for them.

His offense uses motion and RPOS just like ours. I mean, we had 4 plays last year. Couldn’t be that hard to figure out.🤣
