New info on Nico & His Dad

Since he wasn't paid to play as many are quick to point out and he didn't want to perform any of the tasks he was actually paid for...it sure sounds like he and his family wanted a multi-million dollar welfare check. I'm glad that trash is gone.
If I am some of those NIL "investors" I'm gearing up to head to court.

Can you imagine showing up for a autograph signing with your child and Nico not showing up!

Do any of us on here have firsthand knowledge of this?

Swain was alluding to some of this in his podcast recently but didn't give any details. Now it makes sense why we never saw Nico on anything except for Vols official media content. Dude could have been a legend but instead is just another letdown. Hopefully someday he'll look back and realize what a colossal disappointment he was at UT.

If Nico had stayed, I have the feeling he would have been eventually caught up in point shaving.
UCLA better watch out because now the family is more desperate for money.
He may throw a game or sit on a line if he is good enough.
To even think it is a possibility tells me we don't need that type of player here.

I don't think he will ever look back. Evidently he has a me attitude that has been taught to him by his father.

You are never as good as you think you are, but your never as bad as someone else thinks you are.

Nico will need a lot of therapy when he cuts the umbilical cord from his dad.

This is going to just keep getting uglier I suspect. It would be in everyone's interest to stop talking and move on but neither side seems capable.

Nico has no reason to complain. He got paid to sit on the bench for a couple years. He played in what 13 or 14 games and got paid a lot.

I’m going to say if UCLA or any other school has read this by now, or at least will over the weekend, there may be NO deal gettting done for Nico anywhere. He might be watching college football from home. This is the kind of stuff that ADs, coaches and certainly NFL GMs and owners look at and know right away this is a headache they don’t need.

He wasn’t prepared to be the face of Tennessee athletics. I watched him last season at a softball game not take pictures or talk with fans. He would arrive late and leave early to avoid speaking/being seen. His dad and brother were always with him and they’d sit away from everyone.

Although there is. If he really wants to play in the NFL, teams look at this stuff. Might still get drafted but pushes him down the draft board which could cost him millions in rookie contract.
There is only a story here if you give a rats ass about Nico Suave, and frankly my dear, I don't give a damn about him this week or, any week in the future.

Why? To waste more money? Probably best for them to let it go.

IMO, this will cause a lot of donors/ business owners to rethink their NIL sponsorships. I'm sure very few businesses see a financial benefit in NIL.
