I was afraid that when Nico left we would have a mass exodus in the portal. That has not happened yet, and at this point I doubt it will.

Is this a clear sign that Nico was not well liked, and no one really cares that he left?

From all accounts he was not a bad guy, but also not a vocal leader. If there is any truth to the reports he skipped meetings and practices, he may have lost the team.

Hey! I would like to start a thread with a poop in the title. That would be so hilarious. Hmm, what can I say that would allow me to put a poop in the title where Freak and the mods don't immediately take it down. I know! Nico!

It’s very rare that one player leaving a team has that much effect on the rest of the team.
Most are looking out for themselves and are where they are because they thought it was best for them.

If they leave it’s because they think there getting something better.

I would say it only means that no one felt he got railroaded, and no one really came here just to play with him. They may or may not like him, but staying at Tennessee doesn’t necessarily mean anything in that regard, one way or the other.

Take the year off of college football if it bothers you so badly, because it is going to be a constant theme. You’ll hear about it more than you heard that Josh Dobbs was an aerospace engineering major.

It's hard to read into what may or may not be happening in the locker room. From what I have seen, guys who talk about what goes on in the locker room are usually not well liked by others in the room. "It stays between these walls" is a good motto.

As far as not being a vocal leader, that works well for some guys. Others, not so much. Now if the guy in question doesn't do anything else with the team or his teammates outside of the locker room/field, that's probably a flag. Good leaders learn that they have to do things that they don't want to do as a part of the role. They do it, do it well, and don't complain.
