Mayo at number 1 seems a bit preposterous to me, even though he was great. Also wonder where you’d rank guys like DeLong and Mike StrattonAgree with the top 5 all time greats at UT. The 69 season was marked by the best trio of lbs ever at UT and in my opinion, the best ever at any university with Reynolds, Kiner and Walker. Part of the great legends that accompany talk of Kiner and Walker is the fact that nothing ever happened in the middle due to the presence of Reynolds. To fill out the top five, add Jerrod Mayo at #1 and Al Wilson at #5.
I was just about to mention those including Tom as well as Mike Lucci and Paul Naumoff.. Vivid memories of watching all of them all.Rest in peace #57. He was a great one. A couple more stud LB’s from days of old—Frank Emanuel and Andy Spiva. Also one whose life was cut short in a traffic accident near Benton TN—Tom Fisher.
"Hee-haw," says Kiner, "them's not horses, them's mules." 39-0 Ole Miss...

Answer to a foolish question
You'd have thought those folks from Tennessee would have known better, being neighbors and all. Shoot, any 10-year-old kid who ever got his button nose pastvault.si.com
Saw both games. The one in Neyland much more enjoyable. About all I remember from Jackson was that the Ole Miss fans were rabid because of those remarks and the previous year beatdown. That and we had them stopped on their first drive, 4th down from inside two, Archie got hit fumbled and they recovered for TD. Went downhill from there.38-0. The Jackson Massacre. One touchdown better than 31-0 TN a year earlier.
