If what I found is correct, LSU has all of yesterday's relief pitchers available except Rizy. Dylan Loy is not available today.

  • No college baseball pitcher can exceed 110 pitches per game.
  • If the threshold is passed, then that pitcher will not be able to throw for at least three more days.
  • If a pitcher throws fewer than 25 pitches, there shall be no mandatory days of rest.
  • If a pitcher throws between 25-51 pitches, a pitcher must rest one day.
  • If a pitcher throws 51-75 pitches, a pitcher must rest two days.
  • Coaches will be responsible for monitoring the pitch count of their pitchers and making substitutions as necessary.
  • The NCAA has also introduced new pitching restrictions.

Don't think your information is correct. Anderson from LSU threw 135 pitches in a game a few weeks ago.

Those pitch counts are arbitrary - vast majority of Tommy John surgeries are done on players aged 15-19, and it’s because they are trying to max out their velocity at a young age. Velo gets you D1 offers and that’s the holy grail for a high school pitcher. MLB pitchers 40-50 years ago would throw 250 pitches a week and multiple complete games because they knew how to pitch, not just throw hard. Today’s young pitchers don’t know how to conserve energy, set up batters, hit spots and change speeds. It’s just all velo now
