Seen this in the transfer portal thread ( btw, shout out to Todd Kirk for the early inside information) but figured I would make a thread just for Massamba discussion and whatnot like we've done with the rest of our signees.

Super pumped to have this guy. I think he is going to fit in here at Tennessee nicely!

What's your thoughts/opinions on signing him/ his role here at Tennessee?

He will be a contributor instantly if he can play decent defense. Maybe a starter alongside Gillespie in the backcourt

I’ve been telling y’all for weeks now he was going to sign. No wait, that was another poster…never mind.

Be even sweeter if we got Gainey to fit in there.
Unfortunately, I doubt that happens though.
I guess we carry that last scholarship into the summer and probably add someone late (a la Zakai Zeigler ) if there hasn't been any positive news on players getting a 5th year.
IIRC, we didn't sign ZZ until almost September.

I went looking for highlights of the guy, and the first reel I found was literally 37 dunks, not a single jump shot. Is this guy a shorter version of Yves Pons? 🤣🤣🤣

Everyone keeps mentioning these guys can contribute as long as they play defense. Didnt Barnes say that he would be focusing more on offense this year and not as much on defense? I want us to play defense but i dont care if we are top 5 as long as our offense can put the ball in the hoop at a more consistent level. I would rather be top 5 offense and top 20 defense.

I you look at this roster, it doesn't look like a team that is going to put up a hundy on many teams.

You’re right about that. If you can’t play defense then your minutes will be very limited under Barnes. I believe some players commit to CRB in order to improve their defense.
