Let players play 4 years and then move on. Nothing against ZZ, but this play for eternity in college needs to stop.
Yeah, I'm ready to see some new faces after four years, but I also understand that some players would stand to make a lot more money in college than they would playing professionally in either the G-League or overseas, so they feel the need to exhaust all of their collegiate options.

Interesting post from Rob Lewis...

I don't know yet how any of this will all work out, but one thing to probably consider is that if ZZ wins, Tennessee won't be the only program who would want him playing PG for them.

If he were to win I would guess that he will have plenty of attractive NIL offers besides whatever Tennessee's would be, and for quite possibly much more.

Now hold on there Ace. There ain’t much call for 70 year old point guards but I’ve still got eligibility. With a running start, I can jump over the free throw line.

I am very anti-this if it means ZZ on another team. I figured this was likely to happen, but man it would greatly impact my perception of his legacy here if he left for somewhere else. I’ve admitted that may not be fair to him, but it’s just how I feel. ZZ wearing any color other than Tennessee orange would hurt, especially since that means he’d be “retiring” as another team’s player.

Is this the news you were talking about?
I doubt it. Just a few days ago, BTO was saying (I'm paraphrasing) that he didn't expect ZZ back at Tennessee and insinuated he was ready to move on from college.

Admittedly, based on BTO's comments towards the matter and the documentary they made on him and just released, it is a little surprising. When I saw the "Bet On Me" doc, it felt like the closure on his college career. Two days later, he's back in the game, or at least trying to get back in.

Would be in the argument for the best PG in the nation, so yeah, he'll be recruited by pretty much every team in the country.

I can't imagine ZZ just last night or whatever decided to do this. This had to have been the plan all along, and I assume Barnes knew about it as well, so hopefully it's planned for him to be our 1 again this coming season.
