And not a phrase but I liked when Ward had some fun with shots, usually foul shots that would bounce around and go in. He usually did it when the game was on TV it seemed so that he knew if you were listening and watching at the same time that you knew he was messing. The ball would bounce around and go in and he'd go "Nothing but the bottom of the net!"

Also, IIRC, before Joe Dean took it and expanded it to “swish-areno”, Ward would just simply say “swish”. He used “Bottom!” a lot more in his last 15-20 years and almost phased out “swish”.
