I guess they wanted UF at LSU for Primetime

Yeah....they (ABC and ESPN) are thinking we are going to be 'trending down' and UF and LSU will be 'trending up' next season.
Going to be funny when the 3:30 is two top 5 or 10 teams and the prime time night game is two clowns not even ranked...HAHAHA

They are missing out too since Neyland at night with a top ranked opponent...well, just ask 2022 how that works out.

We and UGA should be undefeated and UF should be undefeated. LSU has another tough opener @ Clemson. Wouldn’t surprise me if our game had the 2 higher rated teams. They just want the the mystique of Tiger Stadium at night and they have 2 big time Quarterbacks with Lagway and Nuss facing off. Not really surprised we got the undercard. We really have to bring it.

This year is BK's last chance. Another flat year and his ass is going into the gumbo. LSU is putting a trainload of cash into that roster and he cannot underperform another year. His buyout is still pretty high, but he has squandered a very talented team and has not solved the underlying issues this off season.

UF will be interesting. Can they do better this year? Certainly. However, that Lagway shoulder injury is causing a lot of anxiety for them. He didn't even throw during spring practice. The rest of that roster is not really full of world beaters either.

It is easy for ESPN to tag us as trending down this year after the Nico fiasco and the fact that we lost our top RB to the draft. I doubt we get a lot of night games again this year unless we beat UGA early on.

This makes sense. Hate that we aren’t playing the night game against UGA - need every advantage we can get in that one. It’s now been 10 years since we’ve beat the dawgs in Neyland.

You all complained relentlessly about 'too many night games' last year....
I may be in the minority of those who liked the night games because my kids are all young and went to bed by the time the games were kicking off. I was able to enjoy most of the games with zero distractions 😄

3:30 games are rough . My kids are young too. It’s the sweet spot of when they get up from their nap and then have dinner during the 3rd or 4th quarter.

This is Clemson’s year to get back to the top. Cade Klubnik should be the best QB in college football entering his 4th year. If Clemson doesn’t win 11 games, I don’t know when they can expect to again. If LSU can finally win an opener, it will be a steal.

I think of all the teams that I have the highest confidence in to reach the CFP, Clemson is the top
of the list. They very well could bookend the season w/ losses to LSU and USCjr, but should be able run the ACC. They have a few tough games, @ GT, @ Louisville, Syracuse always plays them tough for some reason, but I think Clemson should win the ACC pretty handily. I guess we’ll see what Miami does w/ all the $ they spent this offseason.

I think folks underestimate the LSU-Lizard rivalry.

I unfortunately have some Gator friends, and they absolutely DESPISE LSU. Not surprising that they will have the night slot, especially in Baton Rouge.
Plus you have Lagway vs Nussmeir, arguably the 2 best quarterbacks in the SEC right now. That gives the game some star power along with the storyline of Tiger Stadium at night. We all know how they bitch and moan if they get their precious night games (cough 2022 BTA)
