This was an issue discussed at the SEC spring meetings this week. First off, are you in favor of a "scheduling alliance" between the two conferences? And second, if this were to happen at some point, which teams would you like the see Tennessee play?

Frankly?

I don't give a solid damn about playing any of the stupid Yankee schools.

The SEC became what it is because all those arrogant "AAU accredited" northern schools looked down their haughty noses at all of us. They mocked our schools and our region for generations, and we took that mockery and shoved it right down their snobby football throats.

Every inch we give those stuck up asses grates on me. I dislike seeing the SEC team up with them. Setting aside historic rivalries and regional traditions for the sake of "another big name game." It's one of the most glaring reminders of just how much of the experience has been carved up and sold to indifferent buyers who couldn't care one bit less about history or how we got here. Only what they can take out of it.

I absolutely want this. I think this would potentially be great for college football.

I’d love to see us play PSU, Michigan, USC, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan St., throw in Ohio St again too,

There will eventually be some kind of merger and they will bring, likely, a chunk (or maybe even all) of the ACC/Big12 members (notably ones that aren't in the region or have more TV value) with them to make a new league.

I want Ohio State again, if for no other reason than to break out this meme again, and make good on things this time:

Agree with Butchplz here. This is the beginning of the big conferences making super conferences and leaving the NCAA out of football.

To.answer Freaks questions, yes I would be for playing a Big 10 school every year.
Selfishly, I would like a home and home with Imdiana since the stadium is only a 30 minute drive for me...hahaha

Absolutely, would love to see home & home series w/ really any of them do a rotation through each team, but start w/ UCLA.

there would have to be 2 games/season for a lot of us to experience the complete rotation of 18 teams. If just 1 a year, that’s 36 years. I’ll be lucky to be around long enough to see or at least appreciate/comprehend the first 15-20 years.

This is all about money as is everything in big-time college football now.

The B1G gets $80M per school currently for TV rights.
The SEC gets $50M per school currently for TV rights.

Creating a rivalry between the SEC and B1G with regular in season games is a gold mine for even more TV revenue.

Nothing more, nothing less. Always follow the money.
