Can the baseball team win the first game at Arky with Brooks Wright or whoever the C will be?

I don't see any stats for him this year. Has he even been behind the plate at all during a game? It was BS for Peebles to get tossed for saying no worse than the WF coach!!! Can UT appeal the penalty?

Stone Lawless is a catcher who has played in 27 games for us this season

This is one of the funnier thread creations I’ve ever seen
You and a few responders are d***S who have a bunch of time on your hand to criticize people. I haven't watched every minute of every game this year! I have missed a few games too. Some of the people who posts have a life outside of UT sports! My thread also said WHOEVER after Brooks. Brooks is the only listed C only on the roster. I should have scrolled farther down to see Lawless is a C / 1. But, I didn't. So, I wasn't looking for batting statistics for him. Now, looking at his at bats, he has performed better at the plate than Peebles. If he is as good or better behind the plate, maybe he should have already replaced Peebles who has trouble throwing out runners due to many of the P's high leg kicks at times!

I certainly think Stone is a capable catcher and have no concerns about him stepping him. I will note that Stone getting a larger proportion of his at-bats during the non-conference could inflate his batting statistics a bit. Plus, Cannon does seem to have been coming on later on in the year.

He’s capable. Has an arm. Lacks some SEC experience but he’ll be fine. Gonna be different, to what degree I’m not sure, catching Doyle or Phillips. He’ll be juiced for the moment I have no doubt. This is why you come to Tennessee!

I agree. Peebles may not agree but he may need another rest day. He has been getting beat up behind the plate with just the wear and tear of a SEC baseball season. Hopefully comes back hungry, fired up, focused and prepared. I just hope it doesn't stall some of his momentum in the batter's box.
