Several outstanding ball players have went through Walters State Ben Joyce fastest pitch in baseball and his brother, Colby Baucus who is on the current UT team and many others have played at D1 schools through the yearsThis makes me happy!
I missed the part where Walters State became a powerhouse CC team, meaning I don’t remember them being great when I lived there. I used to walk up the street, cross over a fence and be at the parking lot/basketball court to play ball. Tennis courts were right beside it, and on the other side was the baseball field. My best friend’s parents both worked at WS, and we went to quite a few basketball games there. Happy to see ole Morristown contributing so much to Tennessee.
(And I’m not forgetting Randy Sanders or James Stewart either)
Been to the JUCCO World series 11 times since 2003. The only other appearance was 1984.This makes me happy!

I went to Morristown West. Played on WS tennis courts quite a bit over the years. I remember watching some of Randy Sanders’ middle school games. Long time ago. This makes me happy!

I remember WS always playing good baseball, but I didn’t pay much attention 15 years ago. This makes me happy!
