This is not new. There are several of these in the state of Alabama that look exactly the same. I know for car there is one in Priceville and there is another one that I can’t recall the town ATM. Either way, definitely nothing new here.

AVIATION REGULATIONS: "TALL STRUCTURES NEAR AIRPORTS": Objects taller and longer than 4.5 meters in the area of an airport should be colored in a checkered pattern with white and orange or red unless this would cause the obstacle to blend in with the background. Smaller objects with dimensions between 1.5 and 4.5 meters should use the same color guidelines but can use alternating bands rather than a checkered pattern. Those which have measurements all less than 1.5 meters should be of one color, either white or orange. These color patterns are also used outside of direct airport areas as a reference for airline pilots. But GO BIG ORANGE, anyway!

If I remember right there’s one near Auburn too.
