Michigan giving South Carolina our signs

A to Z sports has an article about Michigan giving the game chickens our signs. Yes, the defense was on Quaaludes, but man, S.C. was strangely perfect that night. Just a thought. God knows Beamer was open to such shenanigans.
Old news but wasn't the first time Beamer was caught cheating.

I think even if they did steal our signs we were probably gonna get crushed anyway. Our defense just looked completely disinterested that night. Stolen signs wouldn’t explain away all the busted coverages and outright lack of effort shown that night.

If Beamer really did steal the signs, then he needs to be punished accordingly. But the idea we solely lost due to that possibility is, quite frankly, just cope. If we showed any effort that night on defense we’d have, at the very least, not lost by 25 points.

Bad things happen on the road at night in the SEC. There were several Saturday Night Massacres by a home dog last year, happens every year. Still making excuses about that game 3 years later is embarrassing.

Michigan football appeared before the NCAA's committee on infractions last weekend in the latest development regarding allegations of impermissible advanced scouting, and the organization's president has revealed when the final ruling will be issued.

Charlie Baker, the president of the NCAA, told Yahoo Sports he expects a final ruling in 30 to 90 days. That corresponds with July 11 to September 9, 2025; the Michigan football season begins August 30 against New Mexico.

Perfect storm unfortunately.

Maybe the signal stealing thing is TRUE.?

But South Carolina had been tinkering with different ways to use their offensive players skillsett all season. Wildcat with Joyner. Redhead QB (can’t remember his name) hit all their scripted pass plays.

Everything they experimented with over 2 seasons culminated in that game. They had no tendencies that game, and ran any type of formation or scheme that they had used from before and our defense was without Jeremy Banks. Just a bad night

If a reasonably good qb knows what coverage you are in they should be able to deal. Which is exactly what happened. Shame on our defensive staff for not figuring it out and changing the signals.

Everything good that Spencer Rattler was supposed to be occurred all in one game .

No one is making excuses. I just saw the article and found it interesting.

Pretty much. We played predictable, lazy defense and paid for it. Banks has grown a lot as a DC since then.

They lost 38-6 at Florida the previous week. Nobody will ever be able to convince me they beat us 63-38 straight up.

Yeah, who knows what the outcome (W or L) would have been straight up, but aside from 38 against Vanderbilt, they didn't score more than 30 in any other SEC game. But they're going to post 60+ against us? That's way too big of a coincidence especially when you consider Stallions was scouting Tenn and Clemson games, he had one job to illicitly steal signs, the wrist bands, etc.

They wore wristbands for the first time that season!

But seriously the D was a no show that night.
Some internal dissension was also a factor. Plus, I’ve heard numerous college coaches say it’s hard to play a season and not have your guys checkout for at least one game. Our D definitely was checked out for part of that game.

but do give the SC team credit - their offense played the best game of their season. They were pumped up and the crowd was wild. Playing on the road in the SEC is tough!

You ever seen a TN defense give up 9 straight TDs to anyone? They scored 6 points against Florida the week before then suddenly they were world beaters against us. You'll never convince me they didn't have our signs.

Most card players will tell you it is easier to play your hand when you know the cards the other players are holding.
