Idk…The Gulf is pretty nice…and some decent golf courses. Plus…I have several close friends and family who live in Bama. Of course it doesn’t mean I’m a Crimson Elephant fan though….

Agree....Gulf Shores is good.....Eufaula is a pretty cool little town especially if you like antebellum architecture....

We love Orange Beach, but I think we are going to start going to Panama City because we get better deals on condos.

The drive down is not pleasant. South of Montgomery, the highways don't go through any towns for @3 hours. I've never seen any other place build nice highways that avoid each town. You have to take a 10 minute detour to buy sodas or snacks. Looks like the towns would want the new highway to drive spending to their businesses.

I suppose that if you are on the market for a Ford Pinto or an AMC Gremlin then perhaps Alabama would be the place to start. Perhaps a nice double wide with a few bullet holes which could be repaired.
