Who would you have as your six starters?
WR- Pearless Price
WR- Jalin Hyatt
QB- Peyton Manning
FB- William Howard
TB- Chuck Webb
FL- Craig Faulkner
Or
TE- for fullback- Jason Wilhoit
WR for Flanker-Carl Pickins
Lol….Joe Milton more accurate than Robinson!!QB - Manning/Robinson
RB - Webb/Lewis
FB - Howard/Watson
WR - Pickens/Kent
WR - Morgan/Hyatt
TE - Witten/Rivera
AP - Gault/Patterson
It was really tough choosing between Menning, Robinson, and Hooker. But when healthy, I think Tony Robinson might’ve been the best college QB in UT history. Would have loved to see him in today’s offenses. He and Webb are the two biggest what-ifs in UT history.
My bad on Witten-it was late. Why do you have a kicker playing TE/FB? And Faulkner? He’s not a top 20 WR at Tennessee. Kent, Nash, McGee, Miller, Pickens (who’s the best WR in UT history), Woods, Harper, Patterson, Hunter, or Tillman would all be ahead of Faulkner.
But tip of the cap for the Webb pick at RB. Most will pick Lewis. Webb was the best ever.
Our lists had a couple of people that others did not choose. Clausen is just a gamer and got my QB2. Seivers is a guy to go to when you absolutely have to have a catch (at least that’s how it sounded on the radio). I don’t fully understand the 7v7 rules, but if a true FB is needed, then your list is hard to beat.QB Clausen-Hooker-Manning
RB Jones-Stephens-Cobb
RB Hardesty-Webb-Garner
WR Seivers-Pickens-Price
WR Kent-Nash-McGee
TE Witten-Wolf
FB Amsler-Howard-Bryson
I posted 74-76 Vol highlights in the Countdown thread, Seivers is highlighted quite a bit. Those 3 FBs were monsters on the field. Faulkner made some of the most incredible catches in UT history. Then he’d drop an easy one. But he was a very solid player and kind of forgotten. My bad on Witten-it was late.
However, those I placed were because of who I liked at those positions the most; not because of stats. Faulkner was a great little flanker that made some very important catches for us, at a time that became all in on Tennessee football.
I can concur on Lewis just as easy with Cheese but, I like my placements.

This is more like it. How does one put a UT all time WR list together and doesn't have Sievers or Gault on it? Cooper Mays was good but Bob Johnson at Center was an AA and recognized force on the OL for us and the Cincinnati Bengals as well.QB - Peyton/Ice Man
RB - Jamaal Lewis
RB - Reggie Cobb
WR - Stanley Morgan
WR - Larry Sievers/Willie Gault
TE - Jason Witten
C - Cooper Mays
My bad on Johnson, I know the name but he was a little before my time. This is more like it. How does one put a UT all time WR list together and doesn't have Sievers or Gault on it?
