I know this is simply a story, ...

I was mowing Thursday afternoon. I don't carry my phone when mowing. I figure it will vibrate out of my pocket.

Well, I was mowing the South Field of my property and a thunderhead was forming to the west. Two huge dark clouds were converging fast with the sun's rays shining bright between them, one from the NW, the other the other from the SW. I figured the storm had some real energy with crosswinds like that.

I stopped the mower to watch because I like watching storms brew. And, then, right there, with the sun being covered by the SW cloud, the two dark storm clouds merged to form the most perfect Power T. I asked myself if I should run to the house to try to get my phone and a photo, but I figured it wouldn't last long enough. So, I soaked the sight in, Power T made of two storm clouds with the sun beaming brightly through it. It lasted almost 30 seconds.

I have a good feeling about this season. I am not a believer in visions or signs predicting the future, but I have the most peaceful feeling about this upcoming football season. I haven't felt that since 2007. The Power T shined. It may just be something that just makes me feel good, but I wanted to share.

I have seen photos on this forum of Power Ts in the sky and other places.
I thought it would be cool if member share their stories and photos of seeing UT images in various places and made from various things.

Well, maybe it is time to start recognizing the signs...!!!?????

Not quite the power T but I remember watching the bama/TN game in ‘22 and they showed a shot of the clouds and the sky was a perfect shade of Pantone 151. I felt a sense of peace and contentment right then I had never felt before during a game. It seemed to say “this game is ours”. It was undeniable, right there written in the sky. What a special day and game that was. Something I’ll always hold onto and remember.

Peace is found with JESUS / GOD who takes the pressure away from you!

Old lesson. I don't always remember it, but I try...

They say that the Lord never gives you anything you can't handle. I disagree...

He never gives you anything that HE can't handle. You just have to hand it to Him, and trust His decision.

But yes, peace is found at the foot of the Cross. No atheists in foxholes, right?

You can tell when football season is approaching. People start believing we're a rocket ship ready to take off. Happens every season..😉

Yeah, I agree...but there's just something about the way this offseason has played out that has a different edge to it.

1997. Got smoked by Nebraska with Peyton at QB. The Natty was there for the taking.

1998. Yeah, we got lucky in a game or three, but that team just seemed to have an edge.

There's that word again, edge.

Nothing against Nico. I was all-in. But his legs won the bowl game against Iowa, and if we take off the orange-colored glasses, he wasn't all that good against SEC competition last year. IMO, Sampson and the defense made the difference.

And then came the drama. And now we are left with a couple of top shelf in-house QB's; a transfer gunslinger from the portal; a ton of young talent; a very solid '26 recruiting class (so far); and the anticipation that comes with hoping we're better this year than last.

Will we be? I don't know. I don't think anyone really does.

But...for some reason...this smells more like 1998 than 1997. NC? Probably not. Maybe we have that conversation next July.

But I think this team, who(m)ever the QB ends up being, is going to be fun to watch. And winning is fun.

😉

I saw it. It was cool. Never seen anything like it before. Seen photos taken by others, but otherwise, never saw anything in clouds, or the sky, or nature really.

My son and I saw a triple rainbow driving through Parsons, TN on a Sunday afternoon. That was a lot of fun for us to share that moment. Afterward, all I could think of was the 'Double Rainbow' Guy from Tosh 2.0.

There is a quiet confidence about this team. We’ve gone from hoping to be bowl eligible to expecting to win most games in 5 short years. We may not go 10-2, but 8-9 wins is certainly doable. I trust Heupel’s ability to develop a serviceable QB at the very least. We have talent all over the roster and pretty good depth, we just lack experience at WR and O-line in a few places.

The biggest keys to the season will be a healthy Jermod McCoy and the new players on offense stepping up. This year will tell us more about where we are in terms of program development under Heupel than any thus far.
