Alright guys, I thought the song got old and wanted a change.

I kinda hate the change, I've talked to my family and friends, they dont enjoy the change.

I like the new song, but its not really a piss drunk at 3pm Saturday song. Drunk people can't sing it because it's fairly complicated.

Anybody can yell "i got friends in low places" piss drunk or stone sober.

I found that everyone around me was kinda lost in the song and was trying their best, but it just felt forced, like you're first girlfriend. You kinda forced it to be a thing because you wanted one, but you had no idea what you was actually doing...

This maybe closer to a bad rebound after a 5 year marriage...

Sorry to be long winded on this, but went from something everyone could sing to "fbisbfunemfuheneuddbssnodid vols fan" from most people in the stands...

I'd rather hear sandstorm or some other techno dance **** show then try to sing that again.

Go Vols!!

I have always thought "Here for a Good Time" by George Strait would be a good 3rd quarter song. Its upbeat, positive, talks about not getting down, embracing the now, and even mentions moonshine.

The new generation of students may think it is too old school, but Bama sings a song from 1983 about Tennessee and they don't complain.

I would rather not have some bro country mumble rap crap.

Us playing "Friends in Low Places" makes as much sense as bammer playing "Dixieland Delight". The Morgan Wallen song is at least more fitting even if it is not your favorite.

The only thing worse then an UGA, Bammer, or Gator fan is a "piss drunk" Tennessee fan.

Copperhead road is the only answer to this. It's about east Tennessee, it rocks, and it is easy to sing.
It also fits in with Rocky Top lyrics
"Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top
Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top
Reckon they never will"

It's complementary to Rocky Top.

Tennessee River by Alabama (or Hank Jr's version if you want to). It even has an uptempo part with a fiddle at the end to get real loose to after everyone sings every word from heart about getting together on the Tennessee River with your family and mother nature!

Its perfect.

It’s so quaint to have a paused moment and sing-a-long to highlight the beautiful condition of drunkenness but whatever we do…NEVER a Garth Brooks song… JMO.

I agree - it's time to move on from Garth and Low Places.
I also agree - unless you do some heavy editing, Copperhead Road isn't it either. Also, after all that editing will the fans even know what to sing and when?

I kind of like the Tennessee River idea.
If you use the Alabama version, might want to think about cutting about 15 seconds off the intro and amping up the bass and guitar hits to get the crowd riled up.

Other options to consider:
You shook me all night long (could cut off somewhere in the middle, like after 2nd chorus since most folks don't know the entire song)
Sweet Caroline (although it takes a minute to get to the juicy part and it's kind of long and monotonous after a bit too)
Viva La Vida by Coldplay might be cool (only know this from attending a local hockey game where it was played and the crowd really got into it)
Don't Stop Believin (again may have to edit after the first or second chorus)
We will Rock You (might get fuzzy when it comes to the 'rap' portion)
