I’m critical of Heupel and how loyal he is to his staff. But you got to give the man credit. He’s legitimately made Tennessee a stable and excitable program again.

Look at every position and you will find a blue chip there or 3.

- WR room is young but looking at them run around I thought I was watching Florida State of the late 1990s. They’ll definitely be that next season with the addition of Bey and King.

- Who “could” feel in for Carter? Not one guy but we have players that can play STAR (Beasley, Redmond, Mcmurray, Merrit?) Punt Returner (Matthews, Morris,)

Not going to go down the whole roster, but imo
Aguilar can be a caretaker and out talent is still going to get is us to 9 wins. If Aguilar shines then we’re playing in Atlanta against Arch Manning and Texas.

Not sad about Nico. Not sad about Boo if he leaves. We’ve got a whole season to look forward to with a bunch of talented players!

Colton Hood is my guess to be the Star if Boo leaves.

You saw guys running around in a workout and concluded they are on par with one of the greatest receiving corps of all time?
Peter Warrick (Carter)
Laverneous Coles (Matthews)
Reggie Durden ( Staley)
EG Green (Jackson)
Snoop Minnis (Brazzell)
Ron Dugans ( Smith)

Specifically this crew was the one I’m referring too.

And yes, from purely an athletic standpoint they do seem similar. Yes.

That’s why it’s crazy that Nico’s dad was screaming for help with these WRs and Brame and Davis at TE.

Jourdan Thomas was in the mix to start at STAR last year before hurting his knee in fall camp. I haven't heard any updates on him. Martinez has said Kaleb Beasley will get work at safety and STAR. Dylan Lewis and Tre Poteat worked at corner and STAR in the Spring.

Your Peter Warrick ain’t gonna be playing for us anymore. But idk how you made these comparisons in shorts.

We are a 7-9 win team. 9-3 would be a good season
9-3 with our schedule. Absolutely. It’s been 2 years since we’ve had stellar QB play.

That’s why i mentioned that. Aguilar is the key.
Ross is a 6’5 250 EDGE that runs 4.5
Joseph’s is a senior now and has been good his whole time at Tennessee.
Lbs are as fast and athletic as we’ve had. Carter, Burns, Harmon, Spillman are all fast dudes. Telander is just a good football player to boot.

speed across the board at CB. Way different than where we were 2 seasons ago.

Eason and Hobbs and Moi at DT is a problem for teams. The we got all those super prep studs right behind them??

RB! We lose super athletic player in Seldon, and our recruited bruiser in Keith, and we’re fine because DeSean Bishop was better at RB than either. Then we’ve got 10.4 100 meter speed in Lewis! Thomas and his 2,000 total career yards in college!

Our Oline is the same height and 4 lbs bigger than the average NFL OFFENSE LINE. Did you know that??

AP said he is retired for Football iirc. Same as Bru.

Poteat is fascinating to me. He was an offensive playmaker, special teams ace as well as defensive stopper. In Wisconsin. Hey there’s been good players from that state too.

Beasley has a little bit of that football weird magic to his game where the ball bounces to him. Excellent instincts.

Lewis is good height but has the length of a 6’3 defender. Another great find by Martinez.

Well they’ve been playing the same game as well.

You know- “football”?

I said similar. Not the same. And they haven’t had a chance to shine yet.

Don’t care if you agree. Thanks…

Simply a scapegoat tactic for the underwhelming season

Agree with everything you said, except I believe we get 10 wins

Yep, overall and including depth, this is Heup's most talented roster since he's been at UT.....

There is a possibility we finish 4-4 in the SEC this year with losses to GA, Bama, FLA, and the road game where we lay an egg each year.

The only saving grace is that my superpower is I'm always wrong.

I'm still waiting for Peter Warrick to deliver that unstoppable performance against our defense.

This is a talented team. Best depth and bluechip ratio in 20 years. The Oline will be better than last year. QB and WR are complete unknowns...but this can be an 8-4 to 10-2 year IMO with the most likely record being 9-3 and barely missing the playoffs like Bama and OM did last year.

Fwiw I believe we win 1 of the 3 games we will be underdogs in..UGA, @bama, @FU...and drop a game to someone else perhaps OK or @MSU? We have a habit of dropping a road game that we shouldnt each season. This 2025 class (and 26) will win a Title for our VOLS while on the Hill in my opinion. We will have playoff caliber teams with Title hopes in 26, 27, and 2028. What Coach Hype and staff have done the past 4 years is nothing short of amazing. We have won 30 games in the last 3 seasons after CJH inheriting a dumpster fire roster of ~50 players on NCAA probation. We are very lucky to have this staff and Danny White is now the highest paid AD in the country for good reason. What a time to be a VOL across all sports. GBO. WGWTFA

I wish I could like this post a dozen times.........8-4 is the floor. 4-0 nonconference and 4-4 SEC. If I was forced to bet a lot of money on an exact overall record, it's a coin flip between 9-3 and 10-2. But, there' not a game on the schedule we can't win.

I agree. 8-4 is the floor . . . Playing UF and Bama away means 10-2 is probably the ceiling. I expect 8-4 . . . I will be excited if we finish 9-3 . . . And thrilled if we finish 10-2.

I think 10-2 maybe gets us into the CFP.

7-5 would be a disappointing season and cause for concern.

Exactly this. The next 4 seasons 25 thru 2028 are gonna be great. Bet we can average 10 wins or more. We may average 10 regular season wins even if we win 9 this year. These 25 and 26 recruiting classes are special. There are lots of NFL players in them like in the late 90s. Its great to be a TENNESSEE VOL

No doubt that 10-2 gets us in the playoff.
