Tried to find a general discussion thread to make my point. Please feel free to add to the conversation. They all gave the usual suspects J Hunter, E Berry, ect.. Micheal Munoz freshman campaign at o tackle maybe the most impressive I've ever seen. Take away his regression going forward out of it and focus on just his true freshman campaign. One of the best I've ever seen. Would've been top 5 pick had his knees held up. Seen this conversation alot of b time and curious why he's never mentioned. Again asking about freshman seasons only. I know of Noone with a better one. JMO

I think most of the Munoz hype was from Fulmer. I know he had knee problems but, there were guys who should have been starting over him his last year. I don’t know why Fulmer was so high on him because he was a mistake prone kid. I know he had a penchant to find the best freshman QB on the team and stick with him for four years so, I’ve often wondered if he did that with Munoz to show freshman can start?

Munoz sustained injuries that severely affected his quality of play here. Thats why Ive always said Olinemen should not be playing as true freshmen in major college. They need that first year or two to develop and mature physically to be able to handle the grind of that position. I fully believe that Munoz starting as a true freshman ruined his career and I have similar concerns for Sanders.

Jamal was a physically dominant running back as a true freshman. Equally was Chuck Webb, he just had it. Webb made instant impact on offense. GBO
Best Jamal Lewis story came form Spurrier. He claimed Jamal broke the helmet of one of his defensive players that tried to tackle him. I remember his comments were on the lines of " we had never seen one of our helmets that damaged from a game"
