Now that the draft and the signing period is over, we can start to see who fared well and who got picked dry. What's missing from this is how teams fared with their transfers, but I only have so much time in a day.

This is ranked by # of top 100 recruits making it to campus:

Tennessee
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 3
Unsigned: 10, (6 in the top 100)
Note: this is a loaded class to go with several key returning players and impact transfers

LSU
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 8
Unsigned: 8, (5 in the top 100)
Note: yeah, LSU got hit hard with how many signed. But look at the talent that made it through the draft. They will be loaded again.

Texas
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 4
Unsigned: 12 (4 in the top 100)
Note: Lots of incoming talent for the Longhorns

Arkansas
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 1
Unsigned: 10 (3 in the top 100)
Note: Lots of recruits made it through the draft, but most of them are ranked in the 200s.

Mississippi State
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 2
Unsigned: 7 (3 in the top 100)
Note: I'd say Mississippi State did very well in recruiting and in the draft. They have some high end recruits that I'm sure they thought would sign that are coming to campus

Alabama
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 1
Unsigned: 6 (3 in the top 100)
Note: Similar to Mississippi State, they got through the draft almost completely unscathed.

Texas A&M
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 4
Unsigned: 6 (2 in the top 100)
Note: I wonder how well they would have done with a good coach?

Auburn
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 0
Unsigned: 7 (2 in the top 100)
Note: not a bad haul for Auburn, who didn't lose anyone

Vanderbilt
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 5
Unsigned: 5 (1 in the top 100)
Note: I hope every single one of them gets food poisoning

Oklahoma
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 1
Unsigned: 5 (1 in the top 100)
Note: Oklahoma lost a ton to the draft overall, mostly from who was on last season's team. Not sure the depth of talent is there for them to regroup that quickly

Georgia
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 2
Unsigned: 3 (1 in the top 100)
Note: Georgia tied Arkansas for most # of players from last year's time drafted with 10. I just don't see them being as good next year, but we'll see

Florida
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 2
Unsigned: 6 (0 in the top 100)
Note: They lost their top 2 recruits, but everyone else is going to make it. The problem is, no one else is rated all that high

Kentucky
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 2
Unsigned: 2 (1 in the top 100)
Note: Do they return a bunch of guys next year? They only had 1 player get drafted from last year. They'll have 1 highly ranked player coming in that will need to learn the softball chants on the fly

Ole Miss
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 1
Unsigned: 3 (0 in the top 100)
Note: This team has fallen hard since their natty. They get a few guys in at least

South Carolina
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 1
Unsigned: 0 (0 in the top 100)
Note: dumpster fire

Missouri
Top 300 recruits:
Signed: 0
Unsigned: 0 (0 in the top 100)
Note: also a dumpster fire

Some random thoughts as I enjoy these conversations.

Tennessee

We were able to get six of the top 100 (2 of the top 5 unsigned guys) to campus this year, and seven of the top 100 last year. Those classes will serve as some nice foundational pieces in the coming seasons. I would expect us to stay around that average of top 100 players going forward now that Tony V has the program rolling.

LSU

They had five top 100 players this year, and they loaded up last year with seven top 100 players including three guys ranked in the top 13 overall players by PG. They will be loaded with talent as well.
