Brown is my new 🦒or in other words, my new favorite big man. One exception, I'm not going to make any crazy superstar predictions. Well, one, Grant Williams 2.0. Nah, just kidding. But, I really like this kid, probably won't get to see it much, this year. We have a lot depth in the front court and playing time will be scarce. Still, if he stays for 2 or 3 years, he will getta chance to shine, I see Brown taking advantage of those chances.

Btw, this is the Golden Age of Vols Basketball and the next step, the Final 4, if not a NC is going to happen before Rick retires, imo. Well, there's one kinda crazy prediction, but not about Brown. Now, I gotta come up with a nickname for DB, that's emoji friendly

The best thing about him only getting limited opportunities this year is that you get a guaranteed second year of hyping him up before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon 😎

Dang, we got some guys down low it seems. Brown does not look like a freshman and in those clips had some nice touch to go with his solid frame, and he’s expected to have 4 guys ahead of him in the post!

We’re just 1 quality guard shy of being similar in structure to last year’s Florida team. Seem to be blessed with depth in the front court like them, we have 2 star guards/forwards (JaKobi, Ament), but really needed one more to fit that mold. Still, can’t wait to see this front court play. Watching Florida just bludgeon people in the post last year was rough (for other teams).

Looks like Okpara still can’t hit a shot in the post to save his life. His only chance of scoring is dunks and easy layups.

A healthy JP would easily start over him.

Carey might get opposed on defense to taller post players. Like his post game on offense though.

As others have said Brown is a grown man! Excited for his future. Back to the basket Grant Williams type of player!

Can Abram or Burg, or the combo of the 2, combine to give us 40mpg and ~15ppg, I would say that’s the hope there and would be big if so.

He made multiple shots in that clip including a turn around jumper?

I am not ready to anoint the complete growth of Okpara's ability to score in the paint with his back to the basket based on that short video. I am hopeful for improvement from last season. But to watch that video and say that he 'still can't hit a shot in the post' based on that video seems......I mean did you even watch the video @Stoked?

I will say that one thing you can tell, even in a short video, Brown has great touch on his shots in the paint. That's exciting. A grown man with strength that also has great touch is a huge asset. I like his potential offensively.

To be fair, I only see the turn around jumper. Counted three missed shots at the rim, two when Brown was defending him and one when Estrella was defending him.

Posted in a separate thread prior to the video how Brown might be stuck at the bottom of the depth chart but he looks like he can hold his own and contribute this season if we need him.

You take scoring by dunking for granted. Lots of high level bigs get their the majority of their points from dunking in spots other bigs aren’t capable of.

Deandre Jordan, Clint capela, Jarrett Allen etc.
