Let’s hope he’s better than 2024 Squirrel. We need the return of the slot WR. Squirrel showed a lot of promise as a freshman, then tailed off. Some of that was injuries, but some of it was just poor play and drops.I’ve seen people hype Matthews. Seen them hype Smith Jr. Why Staley flying under the radar? He’s better than Squirrel White.
Exactly. The guy is on the shelf watching. What is there to be excited about? The way he stretches? His stationary bike form? Is he even doing something that strenuous? Honestly, I'd hope the focus is on the guys who are out on that field working and not the players standing on the sidelines. I say Wally Pipp 'em and make them earn back playing time at practice. No practice, no play. That's a disservice to the kids who are out there working their butts off. Doubt it happens under this staff tho.Last report I heard, he was literally nowhere to be seen.
White was one of those undersized underdogs that seemed to be more of a fit in that west coast fun and gun type offenses. Just a bunch of smurfs running around all over the place creating confusion and chaos offensively. No offense to him, but those types are plentiful. Still a fan favorite and a great nickname that fit him very well. Given our current situation, I'd honestly love to have him back as an experienced depth piece if nothing else. I'm steeling myself for a lot more 2 TE sets again this season. When we look back at 2022 and compare it to last year....well....the excitement level has dropped considerably. Certainly not what a lot of UT fans expected from Heupel on offense. Defense is a pleasant surprise tho so there's that.Let’s hope he’s better than 2024 Squirrel. We need the return of the slot WR. Um…he’s missed 2 practices with injury. You gonna Wally Pipp Matthews and Brazzell too? They’ve missed more time than Staley.Exactly. The guy is on the shelf watching. squirrel was super fast but it was completely straight line speed only.Exactly. The guy is on the shelf watching. What is there to be excited about? The way he stretches? His stationary bike form? This post leads me to believe you didn't play sports growing up, especially football. It's possible their injuries aren't very serious, and if we were in the middle of the season, they would be participating. Then you take a stab at the staff with "doubt it happens under this staff tho." WTF..........Exactly. The guy is on the shelf watching. What is there to be excited about? The way he stretches? SW never kept his feet after a catch. He would go down every single time.squirrel was super fast but it was completely straight line speed only.
150lbs with zero wiggle to his game at all.
Understandable.Prove it
Yes, this all day long. I've heard the staff is very excited about his progress and potential.Understandable.
But since when do Tennessee fans wait until a 4-star WR produces on the field before expressing excitement to see him play?
We are talking about a 4A state champion in multiple track & field events. I think many, many people are going to be shocked by how good Braylon Staley is.
Never? Here is EVERY catch he made in 23. ALL 67.SW never kept his feet after a catch. He would go down every single time.
Staley is being mature and patient while waiting his turn. His dad Brian is a coach and has said everything is good. He has gotten stronger, faster and will contribute this fall. He’s slightly nicked up right now. He will be better than SW IMO.
he caught 67 in 23 js. With Bru out, Donte out he became the primary target. I like Keyton and Weary but they're not Bru and Donte. Last year Bru and Donte were both a bit healthier and targeted more. Nature of the game.Let’s hope he’s better than 2024 Squirrel. We need the return of the slot WR. Squirrel showed a lot of promise as a freshman, then tailed off. Some of that was injuries, but some of it was just poor play and drops.
Maybe, but track & field isn't football. I hope they're both great. Matthews gets more benefit of the doubt to most due to his rating and him getting in the field more last year. I've seen Squirrel play and haven't really seen Staley. So he's gotta prove it just like Matthews has to prove he was one of the best WRs in his class. Hype only lasts so long. Time to show its real.Understandable.

Did we tell Squirrel to walk or did he leave on his own? Wish we still have him and that vet experience.Let’s hope he’s better than 2024 Squirrel. We need the return of the slot WR. You must be fun at parties.Exactly. The guy is on the shelf watching. What is there to be excited about? The way he stretches? His stationary bike form? Is he even doing something that strenuous?
