It depends on the player and situation. Pitchers: Some got a lot of innings and need rest and build up. Others did not and need to throw. Hitters: Some need more reps others need to refine certain areas. There are things that can only be made better with game play and other areas that can get better with workouts.

Also depends on what the school’s coaches want.

Off the top of my head, CRK told me they wanted Jake Rucker to get some time at all infield positions except first.

Sean Hunley was on an inning limit. Redmond Walsh was not limited.

Some pitchers try to work on a new pitch or other development. Some position players want to try different positions.

We try to set up guys for success when they’re done in Forest City. It’s one of the reasons we have lots of guys who want to play for more than one summer with us.
