Baseball season tickets

A buddy and I have been entertaining the idea of getting season tickets, but have no clue where to start. Does anyone who has tickets have some advice? Who to contact? If this is even realistic?

If you don’t have a long history of football and/or basketball season tickets you have ZERO chance without making a “donation” of at least $100k to move to the front of the point system

It is crazy the amount of money people have offered me for mine but they don't realize I can't give them the tickets from now on officially. I have to buy them. I told one I would take his 100K donation and he would move straight to the front of the list.

Your buddy would come out way ahead by just picking some games and buying them on stub or ticketmaster. If I lost my season tickets, that's what i would do. Everyone sitting around us would do the same before handing over a ridiculous sum.

I agree but some want that season ticket aura. I have sat in mine one ball game in six years. We use them to get in the gate, give them away, and very rarely sell them.

I don’t think people realize how hard it is to fill a 10k seat baseball stadium. Sure, you’ll have some peak series, but you’ll have others where more than half the stadium is empty. I do think there are a lot of folks who don’t even try to come to UT games because they’ve made it so hard to get a seat. Standing room is always packed and you’ll see hundreds of empty prime seats.
