Great video on the state of our WR room and great to see Kevin Simon.

I really hope I'm overreacting but the WR room scares the hell out of me. They're talented but they're inexperienced and banged up. We are a couple of injuries away from diaster.

We were so bad in the 12 formation last year, especially vs ARK.

Yea, we have some excellent RBs to use as receivers as well…let the inexperienced guys get covered by CBs and we’ll throw to the guys covered by LBs and Safeties.

I think the biggest story is how the so-called experts pick the Vols barely in the top 25 and with almost no chance of being anywhere near the top of the SEC.

The rest of the stories are click-bait 'journalists' with very little content under pressure to produce anything, even if it hurts the team.

You answered your own statement. Are they really. I think a lot of them are basing their picks on no idea how the QB - OL - receiver situation works out. And right now no one knows.

“The language of the route”
So the QB needs to get used to the way the receivers go into and come out of their breaks, and each person is a little different. Those are the kinds of nuances we don’t think about here on the couch. More of this please…

I would like to see 12 formation with Kits and Davis at TE and Brame and JVD as the 2 WRs. It won’t happen but a boy can dream.

I believe this is the second straight fall camp where the projected starters are banged up coming into camp? Is that just bad luck or they need to change something? Not sure what that would be but it's a big concern that they're not able to practice much with the new QBs...

Yep. If we end up with a bunch of banged up WR’s and a short room, I see a lot of 2 tight end sets and a steady diet of running the football and throwing to keep folks honest.

Star Thomas looked pretty good catching passes out of the backfield for Duke last season. I can see that skill being utilized this season.

I agree, play 2 receivers and 2 TE. Simple as that.

Everybody just relax. Our WRs are dominant in routes on air, air routes, or catch or whatever the accurate term is for pitch and catch. I guess I was running routes on air with my Dad in the front yard all those years ago. We are fine with this group of WRs and TEs. Just fine. GBO!!
