New rule changes announced

Bout time!
That will certainly put a stop to it. Kiffin will be crying in his pillow tonight. I expect some kind of hissy fit and some lame, bizarre justification for why this new rule will be a problem.

I am reminded of a time when a player had lost his shoe and couldn’t get it back on in time, so he fell down. A time out was called, and he was escorted off the field. I cannot recall his name…

He wanted a rule. He’s stated it many times. Him doing it was almost making a mockery of it to show how ridiculous it was, and since everyone was doing it, he was gonna do it.

This is my favorite
• All forms of gun violence are not permitted and simulating the firing of a weapon is an automatic unsportsmanlike foul. This year, if a player simulates the act of brandishing a weapon, it is considered an unsportsmanlike act.
Wish we would have had that rule when Guarantano was here - made my stomach churn every time he did that fake bow and arrow routine...I mean he did it for a first down, touchdown. pass reception...anything.

Yeha it would have hurt us with penalty yards, but it would have got him to quit doing it...

I think the FSU mascot is toast from game one.

Why just fall down as soon as touchdown is made?

That’s still legal and no penalty.
I believe the post was referring to the inordinate amount of 'injuries' we had on the line blocking for the extra point after the touchdown.

Honestly, I think that was Heupel and Company playing the 'faking' game in their favor by giving the defense a few extra minutes to rest before returning to the field after our offense scored in about 3 minutes of clock time.

Agree about the extra Point.

Everyone knows it was CJH’s game but these rules don’t stop it.

As soon as our RB crosses line with ball, one of the lineman just stays down Or as soon as extra point goes over.

No change on our side.

I would like them to change the rule for injuries to where the injured player, offense or defense, must sit out the remainer of that possession.

Joe Milton used to do some weird bow and arrow celebration also.
