Thanks so much for posting this. It sounds as if all of us dyed in the wool fans are going to be on cloud nine next fall. I've been alive for the natl. championship in '51 even though just a little kid and was in Tempe on '99 to see that one. Would love to have a few more years on the Planet to see another one.

My first football game attended was at Grimsley HS when I was about 5-6 years old, about 55 years ago. My dad took me. We literally walked a block up the street to the school and watched the game.

My dad couldn’t believe the safety we forced on the other team late in the third quarter, but I explained that with the DEs stunting and the backfield in cover 2 their QB had neither the time nor an open receiver to throw to.

Okay, I made that last part up. I only remember falling asleep, but it sounds better, doesn’t it?

North Carolina is a solid 🏈 state. It’ll always be a hoops state with Duke and UNC but there’s some good pipeline of players. Snap, James Pearce was a 3-star from NC. I really like what I’ve seen from Faizon.

Good looking out. Gosh, ESPN coverage is just…well pretty mid. There’s a couple solid writers but where it is now and where it used to be is a night and day difference
