Kind of a shame that our game is the same time as Texas/TOSU which will have most of the nation’s viewers.
B1G Noon Kickoff sucks . I know they get huge ratings, but I think it’s bad for college football. Texas vs Ohio State or PSU vs Ohio St has no business being a noon game.

That OH vs TX should've been on primetime since it's a big match up
Ohio St admin petitioned it and Fox was willing to move it to Primetime with Texas’ approval. Of course Texas being the road team, decided that a noon kickoff was what they wanted. I don’t blame them one bit.

Agreed. But normally I would say that they are moving their big game away from competing against SEC top matchups.

I’m thinking that some TV executives remembered a lopsided TN blowout against a certain 2024 ACC team that had brighter projections than 2025 Syracuse. They made Texas/ OSU a noon game because there are no other good games at noon.

TN is supposed to win this one big, according to those who make the tv schedules.

Honestly, when I first saw the schedules, I was certain that either the TX/OSU game or the TN/SYR game would have been relegated to 3:30 with the other being Noon.
Didn't figure either one to be primetime even though it's Labor Day weekend...people don't go to Columbus or Atlanta as weekend getaway spots.

Look at the two big prime time games - LSU/CLEM and ND/Miami...
LSU/CLEM will get ratings because those two programs are supposed to be on the upswing this year and make some real noise with a ton of returning production...Miami is connected with direct flights from any major airport in the country, so it's a good weekend getaway spot.

UNC and TCU will get big ratings on Monday night also. People will watch for Belichick.

They do. Fox found their sweet spot at noon bc CBS used to show the SEC marquee game at 3:30 and ESPN would show the B game at 7:30 or 8. Now ABC/ ESPN goes pretty much all SEC from noon until the primetime game at 7. Tennessee vs Syracuse at noon makes sense this week.

Yep...Texas didn't want a primetime game in Columbus. Smart
Smart, but Texas always gets the scheduling advantage. Hell I am surprised that Sankey wasn't forced to bow down and kiss their cleats last year with the schedule they were given while Oklahoma was given murderers row last year.

YEP - plus it's Labor Day evening when people are back home, winding down from the long weekend and relaxing...good way to finish off the holiday by putting on what should be a decent game.
Would not be surprised at all if this game pulls the largest viewing numbers of the weekend.

There are a lot of big games this weekend. Notre Dame vs Miami being a stand alone will get a big # too. Clemson vs LSU should be pretty strong.

Assuming we get a B1G officiating crew in ATL?

I'm wondering if TX vs tOSU gets an SEC, B1G, or ACC crew?

As I recall, there were some generous B1G crew calls in the TX vs tOSU playoff game.

Can anyone point to a site listing crew assignments? Thx.

Who you got for rhst game. I feel either way it’s going to be a blow out. Question is by whom.
Texas should win since I think they’re better all around and it’s not a night game in Columbus. I do think the OSU defense can keep it close but I’d expect Texas to win by 10+.

Game is more important for Texas since OSU still gets Penn State @ 🏠 later in the year.

Are you referring to his “creative muse”? I hope it’s the same as Taylor Swift at Chiefs game . It’s driving them crazy around here. Some of my buddies are very much over it
I can see tarheel fans getting over it much quicker than most others. I’m still pointing and laughing… 😉🤙🏼
