I am sure both parties are pleased with the terms of the contract or they would not have signed it. I don’t worry about that. He wants to be here and we, at least almost of us, want him here. Very pleased to gets this done.

Not subbed there so that's the extent of what I saw. It'd be strange if there were no raise, but can't think of any other reason to type "no increase" in relation to a contract.

If Josh wanted to go back to Oklahoma he would of done been gone. Only ones that bring this up is the fans. I do not know what else Josh has to do to convince the Vol fans he is not going anywhere.

Regardless of salary change, an extension probably increases the buyout (which was too low) and definitely provides security for Josh and family.

I flipped out when saw 2030...then realized that's only 4yrs away and o ly 2yrs longer than his current contract.

Heupel is receiving more hours for personal use of airplanes and his buyout has been adjusted with the extension.

The buyout of Heupel by the University and if Heupel were to leave on his own has also been amended. If Heupel were terminated before December 15, 2025 then the University would owe the head coach the full amount remaining on his contract. That drops to 75% after the December 15, 2025 and before December 15, 2027.

If Heupel were to leave before December 15, 2025, he would owe the University $8 million dollars. That number drops by 2 million a year over the following two years.
