About how long do you think it would take to get from the I-81/I-40 interchange to the Foothills Mall on a gameday? Talked with some nice people today at Rocky Top tours that run the shuttle busses from the Mall to the stadium. They said they drop off and pick up at the baseball stadium. How long a walk from the baseball stadium to the intersection where the band plays and then marches into Neyland? Thank you.

The band starts their march to the stadium not far from the baseball stadium. At least that’s where they were lining up a few years ago. Just a couple of blocks north of the Lyndsey Nelson. On the street between Tom Black Track and the Haslam Music Building (Pat Head Summitt Street). Near The Rock on the corner of Pat Summitt and Volunteer. Then they turn left on Volunteer Blvd and go past The Torchbearer statue at Circle Park.

No telling with the construction whether they’ll stay on Volunteer and turn right at the Haslam/Glocker building (and take the pedestrian bridge by the Student Union to Gate 21) or take the direct route by turning right on Peyton Manning Pass.

It’s not nearly as crowded by Tom Black Track as it is at Gate 21. It’s kind of fun to watch them cutting up and being goofy before they start marching.

It’s about 10 blocks/a mile directly to Gate 21 from the bus stop.

I don’t know exactly because I always stop at Perkins and lose track of time. 🤷‍♂️

The Pride of the Southland will come down Peyton Manning Pass this season for the band march. The Pride will no longer pass over the pedestrian bridge prior to entering Neyland Stadium. Salute to the Hill will take place at the bottom of Peyton Manning Pass and Phillip Fulmer Way.

Park in a downtown garage if you can walk the 2 miles or so. Or ride the shuttle for $10/person round trip.

Hour, hour and a half maybe? Depending on traffic
