Joey’s story reminds me of another UT hero, Zachai Zeigler, who turned out to be a great player. Train station and having to travel so far just to practice.

Joey has endured hardships producing his character, perseverance, and hope for his dreams. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I think we will all get to witness something really special this year! He is already a winner in my book and we are lucky to have him as the QB for the Big Orange.

His story could be a Hollywood blockbuster no matter the outcome this year, but I have faith that he will not wilt under pressure but instead surprise us all

"Cut back on turnovers while adjusting to a higher level of competition.” Saturday begins the "Rise to the Top"

Is Tennessee football’s new starting quarterback, Joey Aguilar, a top-50 signal caller in the country? According to this ranking of QBs from CBS’s David Cobb, the answer is yes, but barely.

Cobb placed JA at No. 48 on his list. This makes him No. 12 in the SEC behind No. 2 Garrett Nussmeier (LSU), No. 4 Arch Manning (Texas), No. 6 LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina), No. 8 DJ Lagway (Florida), No. 9 John Mateer (Oklahoma), No. 13 Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt), No. 20 Ty Simpson (Alabama), No. 29 Taylen Green (Arkansas), No. 30 Marcel Reed (Texas A&M), No. 32 Austin Simmons (Ole Miss) and No. 37 Gunner Stockton (Georgia).

Great feel good story, but most fans are a fickle bunch. After a few lackluster outings/losses, he will become a target. Nature of the beast I suspect. You're only as good as your last game.

Just seeing where technology is going, and how many entities are considering social credit systems...
I'm thinking now may not be the time for us regular people to endorse predicting or rating anyone's value based on empirical data or past performance.

I'm gonna root for Aguilar all the way through to the end of the season, just like I wish someone was rooting for me.

I treat most today's media as if I had a ruminate digestive system but without all the gas and belching. Most of preseason chatter isn't worth the effort to digest but gives me something to do.

My cud tells that b2b 3K passing seasons are past performances but not predictors of future performances, however I have no issue with using them in establishing expectations which is he have a 3K passing season for the Vols.

Cut back on turnovers while adjusting to a higher level of competition. Just says what we on VN have said since he committed.
