Heupel incredible qb luck continues...

First Joe Milton has injury in 2021 and journeyman transfer qb from VA Tech - Hendon Hooker takes over. Josh and Hendon bring excitement back to Vol Nation reaching Number One ranking briefly.

Then Milton and Nico have serviceable years and winning ways continue.

Then Nico and his entourage want roster changes/upgrades and a ton more money to honor previous agreements.

Then Josh wisely parts ways with the greedy self serving entourage after Josh pampers Nico and grooms him for the NFL.

Then Josh picks up Joey who is odd man out at UCLA and gained an extra season via Pavia ruling at Vanderbilt.

Then Josh and Joey team up as JUCO chip on shoulder castoffs and send Joey to the Heisman ceremony after an incredible playoff run.

It is all quite amazing really.

Not all luck. Joey is the QB because Heuple picked him. There were other choices and yes I know a couple turned him down but he could have gotten someone else. Joey just didn't fall into his lap.

When you've consistently won as Heupel has, turning the program around in such a profound way, it's pretty clear to me that this isn't just "luck".

That, in my opinion, is attracting better players. Also, Heupel's ability to not only gauge talent, but also how well someone will fit into the program has been insanely impressive (I'll give him a pass on Nico lol).

Just wish the staff were better at their evals so we didn't need that kind of luck.

Not taking anything away from Joey but Syracuse couldn't stop the run or get any pressure. Not sure you can do much judging against them..Two weeks and we'll know.. Syracuse will probably win 8 games id say, if not it was because of their defense..
