Just how good are we?

We beat a decent P4 school handily but, win margin should have been more.

I watched Utah blow out UCLA and their team, especially their QB looked awesome. Watched two top 10 teams fight it out in ND and Miami.

Are they really that good and, if so, how would we fare against those three teams? Hate having to wait two weeks for the test against Georgia. As of now, do you guys think we’re a top 10 team?

I have us around the 15thish best team in the country. This could bump up if Joey keeps showing he's cut his turnover problem down and maintains his deep ball accuracy from App State(and week 1) and the offensive line continues the level of play it showed vs Syracuse.

UCLA is awful. I have no idea what Nico or his family was thinking by going there. Their coaching staff is awful, and their roster is severely lacking in talent. Think we'd beat them by 3-4 scores. Probably around a 20 point favorite on a neutral field.

Notre Dame and Miami I'd both rank a bit ahead. My biggest question for Notre Dame is how good Carr can be, but he looked great tonight, albeit against a question mark of a defense. Miami i worry about their defense as mentioned, and to a point about Beck's ability to be consistent. Think I'd favor both by around 3 to 4 points on a neutral field. Wouldn't be shocked if Tennessee would beat other should they match up, though.

Potential to be top 10 is there, again given the Aguilar/o-line consistency. The performance made me feel pretty good about the 9-3 prediction I had going in to this season, although if what Alabama showed vs FSU is a sign of their season, 10-2 would be my updated prediction and would most likely result in a playoff birth.

Think our ceiling would be winning 1 playoff game if we got a favorable matchup but no further. Don't think Aguilar has the ceiling to his game to get us any further than that given I expect our defense to be pretty good, but not elite. But an enjoyable season especially given we had to start over at QB and said QB didn't even get the full off season/spring camp and would be looking forward to seeing how good MacIntyre or Brandon could make us going forward with ceilings that should be greater than Aguilar's and continued great recruiting/development on defense.

Yes we are a top 10 team
1 We can run the football
2 We can get stops on defense
3) We have a QB that can read the field and distribute
4) We can get pressure on the QB
5) We can attack the entire field with speed and skill

We would beat Clemson or Alabama, and they are considered 2 of top 10 talented teams in America.

Yes- we are and are not close to reaching out potential yet.

I think the question should be, "How good can we be this year?"

Trying to gauge us after 1 week is silly as it is for other teams too

I thought the defense did a good job, but I thought they weren't quite "there" and they hung 26 points on us. I don't know if the Syracuse RBs and QB were that good, was it the DL injuries, were we slightly missing something, or did CJH take his foot off the pedal in the third quarter? I saw other defenses flying around the field and laying the wood. Maybe I should re-watch the game? The team needs to clean up the penalties too.
In all, it was a nice win and I agree, 9 - 3, unless we manage to knock off one of uga, bama, uf and don't lose one we're supposed to win.
On the plus side, USCjr had to go four quarters against their ACC opponent despite having Sellers and what some regard as one of the better DLs in the country.

No. And as usual we need to be very concerned about injuries. Butch Jones number of players going down these last couple of years. I worry about the S&C not quite being on point.

CJH is doing things with JA that he didn't even do with HH , so our offense could very well be better than 22' if we don't go into a shell against the better teams .

Beat a good not great team.
Tennessee has never lost to Syracuse.
Still struggling to cover the middle field in the secondary.
Too many incompletions and dropped balls.
Clean those things up and it should be an exciting year.
As with every year, bigger test are coming soon.

i want to see them keep getting better and more importantly see how they match up with Georgia before I get too excited. They look like a talented team and if they can take a few more steps before the mutts come to town, i will be really excited.

The DL is a little bit concerning for me due to how many injuries and how thin it got in a hurry Saturday, especially by the 3rd Q.

We would beat UCLA by something like 50-70 to 10. We likely would put Nico out of the game.

What were they thinking? Like a band of amateurs who think their product (Nico) is a Bentley when he plays like a broken down Yugo. They took less money to move to a program with lesser players, coaches and facilities and almost zero fan interest and support. They should be resoundly mocked by the press and everyone else for their stupidity.
