Yep these are huge hits not as deep as some think on the dline, and very inexperienced at corner.
We lost 6 guys across the dline?

I’m not sure where the narrative that we were “so deep” on the dline came from. I’ve seen people on here saying it and I just shook my head.

It wasn’t exactly a rebuild but there were only 3 guys with any experience at all returning at a position that we play 6 sometimes 7-8.

We have bodies still. Hobbs will return eventually. West , Bailey are seniors that are 290 lbs each. You need to play those guys inside at least 20 snaps.

I'm going to take a positive view and say that since CJH only said Moi would be out for ETSU, that means he'll likely play vs. UGA. Otherwise, he would've said he'll be out an extended period of time like he did with Gibson.

And while the Gibson news sucks, given a choice between the two, we need Moi more. Hood and Redmond look good and McCoy will be back soon. The Dline depth, on the other hand, is depleted.

Yep. At this point, I'd move Bailey inside full time. We have West, Weathersby, and Dye at SDE, so there's plenty of depth there.

Handled the change well. Didn’t really have a feel how our revamped OL would play but they played well as a unit with only 2 false penalties. Nothing said about DS today.

CJH: On Tennessee offensive lineman Jesse Perry going from the starting guard to the starting right tackle with David Sanders out against Syracuse

“Yeah, it is difficult playing multiple positions. Jesse moving outside, (Wendell Moe) going from left to right, I think it’s a credit to our staff in preparing these guys, not just during training camp, but during the course of the summer since they’ve been here the entire offseason where they do feel comfortable. They have time on task and have repped in those spots and have grown. And then certainly a credit to the guys that are playing the position to be able to handle that volume and workload.”

PFF grades and snap count numbers from Saturday. I agree with others that Boo should have an expanded role. He was in for only 27 plays; however, I think a lower count was to be expected considering the situation.

There is a link on here to an interview with McMurray and Hood. Hood seems like a good guy and genuinely happy to be here.

Versatility is the name of the game.
You saw on the Oline with Perry and Wendell having to slide right.

I don’t have an exact count but multiple times Herring or Ross were opposite of Josephs.

Sure throw Wallace in there too on passing downs. You definitely don’t want Eason, Robinson or Bailey playing 60 snaps again.

No one player or position is above the team. Next man up who is also prepared to play. Not really sure why we drop off the deep end when someone gets hurt.

Wit our D Line being so banged up I expect to see a lot more blitzing this season
I noticed in the second half Saturday that Banks went to a stunted, or delayed, blitz a lot where the DL would separate and the delayed LB would shoot through to the backfield. It was proving pretty effective.
Hope we keep that as part of the regular D package.
