Here is what I don't understand. Kelly Jolly tore her ACL just before the season started in 1996. She started and played a LOT in the NCAA tournament that same season. How is it that this injury has now been 9 months and we STILL can't get him on the field? Hasn't medical technology improved since then??latest I heard was he won't be back until possibly October
Kelly Jolly didn’t have millions at stake, people recover at different rates, he’s following a process/plan that gets him on the field as soon as possible. Here is what I don't understand. I guess it shows the heart of a champion.....she was NOT going to lose out on a chance to win a natty..... Some athletes just have a different mindsetKelly Jolly didn’t have millions at stake, people recover at different rates, he’s following a process/plan that gets him on the field as soon as possible.
If the ACL tear is complete, playing on it won't hurt it further(though you increase risk of hurting something else because your body is naturally going to compensate for it using your other leg/etc), but the problem for a lot of football positions is you can no longer cut or pivot very well. Which for a position like CB, would be disastrous. The ACL is what provides stability for those movements. Here is what I don't understand.
