Where the heck Lewis. Especially late in the game. Dude is a load and he barely got any PT today? I like bishop.. but late game running clock and wearing the defense down.. That should be P Lewis all day.

Bishop is clearly our best running back by far normally in pass protection, but also toting the rock. Louis is good but tries to get cute when he gets to the hole so he likes to dance and then lose his yardage. Start Thomas looks really strong, but is a little bit slower than Bishop.

All three are really good backs and definitely capable of setting some really good running totals this year.

It feels like the running back by committee is just to keep all three happy

Stop trying to create something that isn't there. You didn't see him playing? I saw him on the field plenty. You want to create the rotation?

Create something ? Are you dumb? He was on KR and had like 2 series on offense. Whoever you think you saw plenty.. definitely wasn’t him. My point is him being utilized in the game specifically late. Although anybody that you listen to has stated over and over all summer .. he’s the guy in the running back room. Bishop has earned his stripes but he isn’t Lewis. Star has been consistent and a nice change up.

Are you dumb? Bishop is the toughest back in the room. There is a reason he starts. Star is versatile that is why he took the series when we possibly had to use the passing game. Lewis is the solid but not our best runner, and not our best pass catcher. He got snaps, but in a late game situation Coach Heupel went with the type of back needed for that specific situation. Situational football.

You start a thread asking where was Lewis, what you were really asking is why didn't Heupel give him the reps you thought he deserved in that situation.

Thomas looks to be a better runner than Bishop to me. No shade to Bishop, Thomas runs really well.

Lewis dropped a pass that could have been a huge gain. That started the offensive drought

I’m not saying I don’t like bishop.. but the dude isn’t “that dude.” He’s been a tough runner and I do like him. And bringing up pass catching isn’t the best argument.. how many balls has bishop dropped last 2 games?? Lewis is our biggest and fastest back. He wouldn’t be fun to tackle in the 4th qtr when you’re tired.

Star is our best pass catcher. Hype substituted him for Lewis I think.

Bishop went in to help ice the game.

What’s weird about Lewis is that I keep hearing he’s the fastest player on the roster. I haven’t seen any sign of that.

Someone said it so it must be true.

Also, when threads like this are created, it creates unintended consequences where people make counter arguments against Lewis.

Bishop is Jabari Small Part 2. There’s nothing wrong with that, but he isn’t going to carry your team the way a Wright or Sampson can do.

I can see that. Although Bishop gets downhill much faster than Thomas and seems to be better and pass protection.

Thomas, however, does seem to be more patient in his choosing of the hole that he’s going to explode through. He definitely has a size on Bishop.

I think either way those are the two top backs

Not even close. Star is better. Bishop has dropped 3 easy passes in the last 2 games and is slow as molasses.
