VolNation, I owe so many of you an apology. The experience getting into Neyland yesterday was not acceptable. The expanded south concourse and gate 9 / Truly Plaza are intended to make ingress much better, and they will, but our plan was obviously not effective. It wasn’t for lack of effort, our staff and campus partners have been working hard on this all offseason. It is proven to be difficult to predict traffic flow with new gates given our tight footprint. That’s not an excuse, we missed the mark. That’s on me. I want you all to know that we are immediately looking at adjustments to our plan. Just as importantly, we will communicate with y’all this week about your best path into the stadium depending on your seat location. Thank you to those that have made me aware of the situation on this platform. I did see it myself at Gate 20. It gutted me to see our loyal fans so frustrated. I’m very sorry. We will fix it.

He should also apologize for pricing fans out of games. Good luck if you’re like me 5+ hours away and want to take your family to a Vols game. I wish something could be done about the ticket ‘fee’… I understand prices will go up but $40-60 per ticket in fees is criminal.
Until they don’t sell out, it won’t matter

Heh, I'm somewhat impressed he didn't end that message with a "To better facilitiate the stadium improvements Vol Nation so richly deserves, we will be introducing a modest 5% "Facilities Fee" to all future event tickets."

(I know, I'm a stinker).

In before someone posts that Heupel needs to post the same kind of apology...LOL

Sorry had to take the jab, moving on from it.

Well, not an apology. Perhaps he should say that the loss “is on me”. Even though it might not have been. That’s a leader saying mistakes were made and I’ll fix it.

I saw the SS last week, and it was a mess. I go in before the band, so I was able to correct and adapt with time.

This week, a whole new group of people that hadn't seen last week didnt know the new layout,, and it was a SS to a new level.

Even the staff didn't know what was going on, and sent people the wrong way with bad directions. I like White a lot, but this was a FU. At least he is owning it. Now get rid of those crappy black seats. Whoever picked those should pay the penalty on a class action rebate

Totally agree on those seats. The fix to prevent them from leaning back now has them pushing us forward, and the seat itself is terribly uncomfortable. I brought my own cushion this week that at least made it tolerable.

I don't go in at that gate so not sure what the issue was. The only issue I had was that they prematurely shut down the gate where the band comes into the stadium - but then realized there was plenty of time for them to let a lot folks in and did so.

And then yes, the bus line back to downtown to the civic was a mess.

Never seem to have problems when it comes to raising ticket prices on throngs of die hard Vol fans taking advantage of them.

I'm sure they looked at the sellout and the $350+ floor for aftermarket tickets and thought, "We're really pricing these fans out, they can't possibly buy these tickets".

All west side gates are dedicated to Sky Box access and premium seating, three west side gates are not even in use so as not to flood the concourse with non-premium seat holders. His catering to the less than one percent is embarrassing as they continue to carve and remodel the facilities to create a "premium" experience for a solid six figure committment each year per seat. Simple solution is close streets pre game, move the scanners out of the tunnels and into the street (need about 5 times as many scanners) much as the older NFL stadiums do, most of which seat 30,000 fewer spectators. White Danny has done nothing for the pedestrian fan except price them out of the stadium. Karma is coming.

Everyone showing up at Peyton Manning Pass for the Vol Walk and Band clogs it up. You can't disperse folks fast enough to get around the corner at Phillip Fulmer Way, crammed against the Silverstein Looper Bldg.
