I say win 2 of 3 against flordia, bama and Oklahoma. Otherwise he's showing regression. Tim Banks needs to be on the hot seat.

Regression? Most everybody said 9-3 was our ceiling. Fact is... right now we are better than a lot of people gave us credit for. Anything better than 9-3 with a QB who was a juco castoff is a bonus.

It's pretty obvious this team is very good and so what they must do is execute and focus. Play like who they are. Scheme is going to be important for certain games.

Yes if we can win 2 of those 3 Vols would be in good shape. I think we may have the best chance to beat the Swamp Curse this season, OK will be tough but its at Neyland so that leaves Bama in Tusc. where we have not won in a looong time. So as much as I would hate it, I pick Bama as the loss. And they have to avoid the upset trap that seems to happen every season. Going to be tough.

Tim Banks does not need to be on the hot seat. That's crazy. We lost a game we should have won. If there's one main take-away- we still need to be more physical. GA was able to impose their will when they absolutely needed to.

I try to be patient with our fans. Some of yall test the level of patience I can muster. We lost in OT to the standard (possible exception is tOSU) in college football in OT with an journeyman QB and multiple key injuries on the defense. There are coaching mistakes. offensive goof ups, and busts in coverage in every game. Sometimes they are consequential. Sometimes they are not...looking at you Boo, on your dropped punt. Football is not a mistake-free kind of sport.

Huepel needs to allow people to get healthy. Continue to recruit. Continue to lead his program. and continue to be opportunistic in the portal.

Tim Banks does not coach well against really good teams. Go back the last few years and check it out. When good teams have 3rd and 4th and long, they got us right where they want us. Check out what opponents have done on 4th down against us this year

Explain that opinion in detail. Which game and what exactly did he call that cost us the game?
Ole Miss ran the same QB draw in 21 over and over and over and he couldn’t adjust to it

South Carolina in 22

Missouri in 23

Georgia each of the last 2 years. Last year their TEs attacked our defense in the same spot over and over and over and we had no answer for it

Not only does he not adjust well in games, but he seemingly doesn’t even try to adjust

Did enough coaching to win the game against UGA. Kicker missed a 43 yd field goal that would have won. He typically drills those, and in fact did in OT. I wish he'd been more aggressive in OT, but the coaching was good. Defense played much better than people are giving credit for. We had a banged up D-line and out our two star corners. This MADE A HUGE IMPACT.
BTW, Herring played out of his mind! Coming out game for him.

Better than last year and last year we made the playoffs. I expect that this year too. 9-3 means we beat no one, which would be regression imo

I remember all those games. As for the QB draw, our MLB wasn't up to the task. We were in position to make plays, our players simply couldn't execute. Our CBs had a tough time this past Saturday. Nothing Banks could do about it. Losing Pili last year killed us yet we still played good enough defense to make the playoffs

I’m with you for the most part. But to call Aguilar a journeyman almost implies he isn’t 100% better than who we had last year. I’ll play devils advocate here. This is the 2nd time we’ve had a qb placed in our lap who is better than the guys we’ve recruited and developed.
