Man, talk about a baptism by fire, Ty Redmond got thrown into it against Georgia. I watched the game again, and considering that Ty is a true freshman, I believe that he did as well as he possibly could have and hopefully learned a lot. No doubt the coaches are going to use the film to give him a lot of insight for the future. Go big Orange!

That would have been difficult for experienced DB’s to defend. Kid held his own, pretty good for a freshman.

He's got first round pick written all over him. He's this good now, imagine how good he'll be 2 years from now. And he has the size and length NFL scouts drool over for a corner.

The young man is going to be great. As a coach, well you shouldn't have kept leaving him on an island by himself especially when he is on the Georgia sideline. Blitz the safety on the other side and leave the kid help.

Yep, thought he played well. And yes, that 4th and 6 TD, the receiver did push off for separation.

It's not like he was nowhere around, it was a great route, great throw, and great catch.

Redmond, Hood, Gibson, McCoy and throw in Boo. That is excellent athletic talent in the secondary.

If McCoy and our DTs can come back we can be something special (yea, I said it) on defense. An offense that mixes long drives with splash quick TDs with a solid defense can go a long way!

Just curious. Why didn't we see more of Boo at STAR and McMurray at Corner? I agree with the positive comments about Redmond. However, I read that he had more snaps than any other defensive player? That doesn't seem right for a true freshman.

Boo makes too many mistakes in costly situations. They need to find a replacement in the portal and move him to offense in the spring

I think his technique is the biggest thing right now. He’s got really good size for a CB. I feel like he can play routes from a trail technique and just stay in the hip pocket of the receiver.

On the TD, i think he should’ve been over of the receiver because when the push off occurred, there was too much space between him and the WR.

Corner is mastering the subtle nuances and yes, skills is the separator amongst good to great CB play. I do like his physicality and he has a bright future if he keeps fine tuning.

These reps he’s getting now are so valuable while McCoy and Gibson are out

Yeah I didn’t think he should’ve played trail. I’d have played off and drove on anything in-breaking, slant/post/dig. In that situation, play top-down but nothing over your head.
