My wife and I are coming to Knoxville for our first time in November and our very first Tennessee game. We will be in town the whole weekend. We are looking for dinner recommendations ( steakhouses, sushi), places to get some Tennessee gear, things to go see in Knoxville.

Where should we park for the game?
What time and where should we go for the vol walk?

I added my instructions for parking and walking to another thread this morning. The times will vary due to different game start time.

A couple of places downtown takes reservations for lunch brunch depending on what you are looking for. One of my favorite places for Brunch is Cafe4. You can get a reservation there and then walk to campus for the festivities. If you go to Cafe4 and you partake in adult beverages then you and the wife should not be afraid to take on the Punch Bowl for 4 as it is same price as 2 drinks in stadium. Reservations for Cafe 4 will probably be available October 16 and will fill up. Make a reservation and you can always cancel.

Another option for a tailgate and the proceeds is a fundraiser near the law library. The people seem very friendly. My wife has always wanted to do this and we are going to do it for the Arkansas game….BBQ.

Check out my parking and walking directions here:

If you don't want a chain restaurant, Ye Olde Steakhouse is an old school Knoxville classic, especially if you'll be in town for a few days.
